What You’ll Do

      • Create thoughtful, whimsical, and engaging UI/UX designs for our app and web-based platforms
      • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of artists, game designers, and engineers to create engaging kid-oriented activities and interactive experiences
      • Conceptualize intuitive user experiences across platforms and devices by considering market context, industry and competitor trends, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability
      • Humanize technology – Conceptualize kid as well as adult user-friendly flows, that empower accessible and successful user experiences
      • Design and execute the evolution of our brand’s visual design
      • Architect user-centric web experiences geared to optimize conversion
      • Rapidly create user experience artifacts including functional specs, user flows, wireframes, sitemaps, prototypes, and low-fidelity sketches
      • Effectively collaborate with our internal teams which span across Product, Growth, Creative, and Engineering
      • Create strong working partnerships with other department stakeholders to hypothesize, test, and measure customer growth and success of our digital products
      • Work closely with Product leadership, participate in and contribute to brainstorming sessions, and synthesize user data into actionable design decisions
      • Implement design-focused solutions based on consumer feedback, research, and testing
      • Lead the visual brand consistency between all of our web and mobile products
      • Collaborate with the Engineering team to ensure product designs are executed to spec and help resolve any implementation issues that may arise
      • Maintain a consistent pulse on advances within the UX design community, interactive media trends, and other industry-related technologies in order to promote new ways of thinking, working, and problem-solving for our users and our business
      • Use your professional superpowers to connect our company’s mission to providing kids with the best interactive experiences possible

What You’ll Bring

      • 5+ years of UX/UI design experience.
      • Have a scrappy, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to turn around high-quality projects quickly and independently
      • Proven ability to understand and work within an Agile environment
      • Must have a strong understanding and familiarity with successful youth-focused apps and websites
      • Invigorate the consumer experience by creating user-friendly interfaces that serve both children’s and adult’s needs
      • Fantastic ability to time manage various projects and participate in product planning and execution
      • Professional level experience using InVision, Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and Lucid to develop wireframes and functional prototypes
      • Solid understanding of typography, grid systems, color, composition, and the language of interactive media

Bonus

      • A/B Testing experience
      • Experience in working with products targeting parents and children between the ages of 2-10
      • Deep understanding and experience in the subscription world or designing children’s media/products or games
      • Strong knowledge in designing purchase flows and conversion funnels
      • Background in user research through feedback, moderated usability tests, and focus groups or other research methodologies
      • Demonstrated ability to design for different audiences within and across multiple products under one brand
