Research Assistant – Contractor/Consultant (3 Month Assignment)

What you’ll bring (Required Experience):

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field (e.g., Measurement, Evaluation, Psychology, Public Health, Education, Political Science, etc).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-quality evaluations.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform core evaluation functions—including developing logic models/theories of change, developing robust data collection tools, conducting a range of qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and preparing clear communication tools such as evaluation reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with research partners (participants, schools, research institutions, etc).
  • Excellent writing ability.
  • Strong writing skills, educational insights, and commitment to quality.
  • Can-do attitude with an openness to others’ ideas.
  • Highly self-motivated, efficient, and independent with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in curriculum development and instructional design is a plus.
What you’ll do
  • Develop measures/assessments for evaluating the educational efficacy of the Canticos Bilingual Preschool app.
  • Work with product researchers to create materials for product testing on children ranging from 0-10.
  • Identify potential research partnerships with schools and research institutions.
  • Manage relationships and communications with research participants, schools, and research institutions.
  • Work with the Director of Learning Design & Efficacy to design a personalization model for our guided learning experiences.
  • Create a dashboard for reporting and tracking children’s learning in the app
  • Analyze data for insights on product iteration.
