Program Director, Kids Place Live – SiriusXM

SiriusXM has a new opportunity for a Program Director to join the team! Responsibilities:
  • Oversee programming for Kids Place Live, a family-friendly music & entertainment channel
  • Manage a team of hosts and producers and provide feedback on individual shows as well as conduct regular performance reviews
  • Plan specials, takeovers, and guest appearances
  • Script and edit content
  • Curate a diverse and current music library of family-friendly music
  • Maintain engagement online with listeners
  • Maintain the channel’s daily logs
  • Establishing a structured environment for creative work
  • Collaborate with outside contributors and organizations

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience producing radio / podcast shows
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in children’s media- this could include music, movies, TV and streaming, toys or culture that affect families
  • Strong written, oral communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience in audio and/or video editing and production
  • Collaborative spirit and creativity
  • Evidence of management or leadership
  • Comfort working with high-profile talent
  • Ensuring editorial, production and technical quality of all products
  • Demonstrated experience working with and managing highly creative, driven, results-oriented contributors.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under deadline pressure
  • Experience editing with Adobe Audition, ProTools, or similar production programs
  • Experience with MusicMaster a plus
  • Familiarity with in-studio broadcasting technology and/or recording gear
  • Experience with Zetta or other broadcast automation systems
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
