We are looking for several awesome volunteers to help the global team, as well as our New York, Los Angeles, and Bay Area regional chapters.

OFFICERS

Treasurer / Global

Do you have strong financial skills and want to be a part of CMA’s growth? Become our next Treasurer! 

The treasurer works closely with the Board to help set and meet financial goals. Specifically, the Treasurer develops the annual budget, keeps full and accurate accounts of receipts and disbursements, handles deposits, prepares taxes, and maintains valuable documents for CMA. In addition, the Treasurer tracks and shares our financial status with the board at key CMA meetings, helping to support and guide our dynamic organization. 

Director of Mentorship / Global

Do you want to give back by helping others in our amazing community?

Each year CMA offers a Global Mentorship Program connecting mentors and mentees within the children’s media industry. The program is committed to facilitating connections, growth, experience and learning. The Director of Mentorship will oversee and manage the yearly six-month long program and create and develop future iterations of the program to be offered on a monthly one-off basis.

Director of Sponsorships / Global

Do you have solid relationships in children’s media and are looking to make a difference in our industry? 

We are looking for a dynamic and outgoing individual who will want to utilize their sales and people skills to make connections for CMA and find mutually beneficial partnerships!

Reporting to and in partnership with the President, the Director of Sponsorship will spearhead development and partnering efforts as the Children’s Media Association continues to grow. Primary focus involves identifying, developing and maintaining ongoing relationships with prestigious partners, as well as developing, proposing, and securing financial support for CMA from individuals, foundations, and corporations.   

Video Editor / Global

Are you passionate about editing? Do you want to become more involved in Kids Media? Come join the CMA editing team! 

Overview: As a CMA video editor you will edit high-quality short and long form videos of CMA’s virtual events. You will be responsible for professionally editing each piece while adding creative assets such as music, title cards, lower thirds and captions. 

Experience: Knowledge and experience using Premier is required. 

Director of Marketing and Communications / Los Angeles

Do you think strategically about engagement and communications? 

Do you want to help grow our audience through the sharing of impactful ideas and stories that inspire a call to action?

The LA Director of Marketing leads CMA LA’s promotion and marketing strategies, editorial calendar, and manages the team that creates content for marketing activities in order to grow CMA LA and maintain its brand identity.

Co-Director of Events / Los Angeles

Do you have ideas for fun and innovative events that will inspire and inform our community? 

We’re looking for an awesome person to plan, organize, and facilitate Children’s Media Association events for the LA Chapter. The Co-Director of Events works closely with CMA Officers to develop member-centered events within scope, schedule and budget. These may include in-person and virtual networking opportunities, panels, seminars, experiences, conferences, and services in accordance with the mission of the organization. 

Director of Events / Bay Area

Do you have ideas for fun and innovative events that will inspire and inform our community? 

The Director of Events works with the Global team and Chapter President to plan, organize, and facilitate Children’s Media Association events including: networking opportunities, panels, seminars, experiences, conferences, and services in accordance with the mission of the organization. 

MANAGERS AND COORDINATORS

Membership Perks Coordinator / Global

Do you love to make people feel good by giving them that little extra something? If so, we need you on the Membership team!

The Membership Perks Coordinator will work in partnership with the Global Director of Membership and be responsible for helping CMA improve and better serve its members by procuring new perks exclusively for our member base. You’ll work with the Membership and Marketing teams to communicate new offerings to members.

Job Board Coordinator / Global

Are you skilled at networking? Do you love to seek out new opportunities and make new connections?

A unique networking opportunity, the Job Board Coordinator assists the Director of Membership in delivering a key member benefit by ensuring the CMA Job Board is current with diverse opportunities. This role focuses on procuring the most exciting and recent job postings from industry leaders in Children’s Media and is responsible for drafting and uploading job postings on a regular basis.

Event Coordinator / Global

Do you love bringing people together for a shared purpose and experience? Join the Events Team!

The Event Coordinator will work with the VP of Programming and Co-Director of Events, to help plan, organize, and facilitate Children’s Media Association events including networking opportunities, panels, seminars, experiences, conferences, and services in accordance with the mission of the organization. Some events are in-person and many are virtual so ease with technology is key!

Event Coordinator / New York

The Event Coordinator will work with the VP of Programming and Co-Director of Events, to help plan, organize, and facilitate Children’s Media Association events including networking opportunities, panels, seminars, experiences, conferences, and services in accordance with the mission of the organization. Marketing Coordinator / New York

Do you want to help grow our audience through the sharing of impactful ideas and stories that inspire a call to action? CMA needs you in our NY chapter!

We’re seeking a Marketing Coordinator to assist the NY Director of Marketing and Communications as well as the marketing/communications, events, and membership teams to increase membership engagement and unify the brand experience at all touchpoints. You’ll work with the marketing team to brainstorm, plan and post content across all our social media channels.

Research Coordinator / New York

Do you love to dig deep and understand what community members want?

If so, CMA needs you to help on our NY Membership team!

Reporting to and in partnership with the NYC Director of Membership, the Research Coordinator will be responsible for helping CMA improve and better serve its members through the post-event and community surveys and analysis. The Research Coordinator will help analyze the big picture trends and offer solutions.

Social Media Coordinator / Los Angeles

Do you have a passion for social media and how it brings people together?

CMA needs you in our LA chapter!

We’re seeking a Social Media Coordinator to work with the marketing team to brainstorm, plan and post content across all our social media channels. Assist with planning and posting content to social channels, brainstorm and create social media posts using Canva, and engage with other social media channels and pages relating to children’s media.

Job Board Coordinator / Bay Area

Do you have your finger on the pulse of the Bay Area job market… or want to?

A unique networking opportunity, the Job Board Coordinator will research and compile job listings in the area to help our members seek out new opportunities in Children’s Media.
