Storyboard Workshop with Chuck and Wendy Grieb

CMA LA is proud to announce our Storyboard Workshop with Chuck and Wendy Grieb! These amazing award-winning artists have worked for companies such as Disney, Nickelodeon, and Sony, just to name a few. Chuck and Wendy are excited to share with us their love for storyboarding and give us a chance to try this art form for ourselves!

Join us at Glendale Community College’s beautiful animation room on Saturday, March 24th at 4pm for this fun and engaging workshop. Get ready to let your inner artist shine!

About the Speakers:

Wendy Grieb is an Annie Award winning storyboard artist with over 20 years’ experience storyboarding for Walt Disney TV Animation, Nickelodeon, Klasky-Csupo, Sony, etc. Maurice Sendak’s Where the Wild Things Are sparked this young girl’s imagination; a flame further fanned by Jim Henson’s Muppets and the groundbreaking collaboration between Henson and Brian Froud that produced The Dark Crystal. Aspiring to one day illustrate children’s books, Wendy studied art at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where she also experienced her first taste of animation. She earned her MFA in Illustration from CSUF in 2012 and in fulfillment of her childhood dream; Wendy has illustrated the award winning Monster and Me children’s book series for Mighty Media Press. Wendy is a professional member of TAG Local 839, CMA, SCBWI, and Society of Illustrator’s LA and is currently an assistant professor of Entertainment Art/Animation at California State University Fullerton.


Chuck Grieb is an award winning animation story artist and filmmaker who has had the privilege to work for studios such as Disney, Nickelodeon, Film Roman, and various others. Originally from Pennsylvania, Chuck was inspired as a young child by Ray Harryhausen’s stop motion animated creations and by the age of seven was trying to build his first stop motion animation puppets. Having earned a degree in art from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, Chuck pursued graduate studies in film production at the University of Sothern California. Animated shorts he has created have screened in over 90 film festivals all around the world and his illustrative art has been featured in publications such as Spectrum, Imagine FX , Infected by Art, and Exposé. A professional member of TAG Local 839, CMA, SCBWI and Society of Illustrator’s LA, Chuck currently serves as Coordinator and Professor of Entertainment Art/Animation at California State University Fullerton.
