Susanne Daniels is an award winning entertainment executive who has developed and produced some of the most iconic and groundbreaking series in entertainment.
As Global Head of Original Content for YouTube, Daniels is responsible for leading the company’s overall efforts and investments in original content, including programming strategy, development, and production of series and feature films.
Daniels brings an extraordinary level of programming experience to YouTube, spanning her most recent work as President of Programming at MTV (Scream, Finding Carter, Faking It, Are You The One?) as well as top posts as the President of Lifetime Television (Army Wives, Drop Dead Diva, Project Runway) and The WB (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dawson’s Creek, Gilmore Girls, Charmed, 7th Heaven, Smallville), and Vice President of Comedy for Fox Television (Martin, Living Single) and Director of Specials at ABC (Academy Awards, American Comedy Awards, American Music Awards). Daniels has served as a consultant to several major entertainment companies including Viacom’s Teen Nick, Oprah Winfrey’s OWN and Media Rights Capital.
Susanne serves on the boards of The Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy and Common Sense Media, among other advisory roles. She is based in Los Angeles where she resides with her husband, writer-producer-director Greg Daniels (The Office, Parks and Recreation and King of the Hill).
Amy Friedman currently serves as SVP of Programming and Development at Sprout, NBCUniversal’s 24-hour preschool cable network. In addition to setting its programming strategy, Amy oversees the development and production of Sprout’s expanded slate of original programming and acquisitions, and the Emmy nominated Sunny Side Up live morning show.
Previously, Amy served as Senior Advisor to MTV Scratch, Viacom’s millennial focussed creative S.W.A.T team and President and Founder of Redhead Consulting, a brand creation and content development company across platforms. Recent clients and partners have included The Malala Fund, Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation, The Public Theater and Donor’s Choose.
