A multi-hyphenate, Kristen has written/produced/directed NBC/Sprout’s Emmy-nominated Sunny Side Up and TVO’s Emmy-winning playground building series Giver, which she also co-developed. She has written for Nickelodeon’s Abby Hatcher and PBS’s Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, created segments for HBO’s Sesame Street and has directed on Amazon’s Dino Dana.
Kristen completed her Master’s Degree from Teachers College, Columbia University focusing on the cognitive development of children in relation to screen-based media. She is also a recipient of the Youth Media Alliance Emerging Talent Award. Coming from a family of farmers, Kristen is no stranger to hard work and is committed to crafting media for kids with impact beyond the screen. When she’s not making incredible content for kids, Kristen can usually be found petting a dog.

Lauren’s been at Youtube for over 7 years and working in the Kids & Family space for the past 5, joining the day the company launched YouTube Kids. Lucas Field and Emeen Zarookian are the co-creators of Koala & Giraffe’s Mini Musicals, a series of quirky, fun, music-driven shorts (think Adult Swim Jr) currently on YouTube Kids. With over 15 years of experience in music production and composition for tv, film, and video games, they’ve recently expanded into writing and development with their third partner, Executive Producer Ellis Hawes, to form Not for Kids Only (NFKO.tv). NFKO has provided a platform to bring their creative ideas to life beyond being just the “music guys” on each project. They are currently busy growing the Koala & Giraffe universe, as well as developing new music-driven IPs for animation and beyond. HBO Max, Disney+, Sesame Workshop, Netflix, PBS Kids, and Nick Jr. are just a few of the great channels the guys have spent countless hours watching together!
