3rd Annual StoryTime with CMA: “Reflections”

Join CMA for our Third Annual StoryTime! This year we welcome a new group of amazing movers and shakers of the industry in sharing stories tied to “Reflection,” in this exciting third installment of our storytelling event. This unique, intimate experience will give attendees a glimpse into the authentic, true stories of our speakers. This year, Carly Ciarrocchi, host of Snug’s House, and The Big Fun Crafty Show, will be hosting, joined by guest speakers Livia Beasley, Producer of Pixel & Pebble and Founder of the Children’s Media Association, Steve Burns, former host of Blue’s Clues and theme-song-writer of CBS’s Young Sheldon, Halcyon Person, Head Writer at 9 Story Media Group and former Director and Producer of Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, Rosemarie Truglio, Senior Vice President of Curriculum and Content at Sesame Workshop, and Dan Yaccarino, creator of Nickelodeon’s Oswald, and designer of The Backyardigans.
This year’s event will feature the opportunity for photos and autographs with our esteemed speakers and items from our Silent Auction, including theatre tickets, gift baskets, and career coaching from your favorite children’s media veterans. You’ll be able to bid online in the days leading up to the event.

For the past 20 years, Livia has been a content creator for many of the top networks and production companies including Nickelodeon, Sesame Workshop, Universal Kids, PBS, 9 Story, YouTube, and Amazon. Today, Livia Beasley is the chief pebble skipper of PIXEL and PEBBLE, a creative boutique devoted to developing and producing pro-social content that inspires little kids to do big things. She can also sometimes be spotted noodling on lyrics and vocals as one half the songwriting duo BAREFOOT WALKING. When she’s not working, Livia can be found making up silly stories from inside a blanket fort with her toddler. |

Before joining Sesame Workshop in 1997, she was an Assistant Professor of Communication and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. Dr. Truglio has written numerous articles in child and developmental psychology journals, authored the book “Ready for School! A Parent’s Guide to Playful Learning for Children Ages 2 to 5” and co-edited “G is for Growing: Thirty Years of Research on Children and Sesame Street.” |
