Job Summary:
KiwiCo is an innovative eCommerce company that sparks kids’ creativity and curiosity through offline and online materials and inspiration. KiwiCo is seeking an experienced Editor to take on the responsibility for creating, editing, and managing a variety of KiwiCo branded books. We are looking for an Editor who is passionate about delivering high-quality, engaging, and thoughtful content for kids and families.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the creation of a variety of different types of book formats, that support brand values and business goals, working closely and collaboratively with the editorial, graphic design, and sourcing teams.
- Review and revise concepts, outlines, and manuscripts
- Brainstorm ideas for new book concepts
- Coordinate and regulate all phases of the book production process, including copyediting/proofreading and art and proof reviewing.
- Hire and supervise contract authors as needed, providing detailed guidance and structured feedback.
- Communicate project details to all cross-functional teams – graphic design, sourcing, marketing, photography, store, serving as a true project manager.
- Move editorial pieces through our production process. Ensure deadlines are met and guidelines and standards are followed.
