Disney Television Animation, Supervisor Music Production

Disney TV Animation seeks a Supervisor, Music Production partner to lead the Talent Booking process for the DTVA Music Department. This team creates, produces and delivers a high volume of musical content for our animated series as well as producing ancillary content for a multitude of company partners.

The Supervisor, Music Production will drive the talent booking and session prep process for all of our song recording sessions as well as creatively support various shows across our linear and digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a combination of a strong music production background, connections to talent agencies, superior organization skills, and an overall ability to drive results.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain great working relationships with network executives, producers, talent agencies, recording studios and music managers
  • Drive the scheduling of song recording sessions in a fast-paced, high- volume capacity which includes coordinating availabilities of senior executives, showrunners, engineers, producers, talent and recording studios
  • Prepare and deliver all song session materials to talent and recording studios which includes, lead and lyric sheets, audio files and midi information
  • Coordinate and collaborate with Music/Casting Administration to memorialize and track thousands of SAG contracts
  • Schedule vocal lessons in advance of recording sessions for lead talent
  • Collaborate with company partners to drive results for ancillary musical content
  • Track and deliver audio assets to songwriters and producers as well as delivering final music files to productions
  • Direct vocal sessions as needed
  • Research and develop new relationships with unique musical and vocal talent
  • Provide music creative and production support across multiple franchises

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in music coordination and/or talent booking field
  • Demonstrated success in driving results in a fast-paced, high-volume ecosystem
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex musical projects that cut across multiple business units, teams, and creative partners from inception through completion
  • Ability to maintain great relationships within the music and talent communities
  • Strong tracking and organization skills
  • Knowledge of ProTools, Melodyne and other Music-based software a plus
