Content Producer (Contract)

Amplify is crafting an exciting new curriculum that reinvents the teaching and learning of English Language Arts. By optimizing the power of adaptive technologies, our Learning products support individualized instruction for students and, at the same time, facilitate classroom management for teachers. The Content Producer serves as the hub in the content production, publishing, and asset management process, working closely and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver against project plans. The ideal person in this position pays close attention to detail and exhibits excellent project management skills by delegating tasks and proactively problem solving. This person will be dedicated to content production for curriculum, with an intricate knowledge of system capabilities and familiarity with the pedagogy.

Responsibilities of the Content Producer:

  • Maintain communication with key partners and cross-functional teams (curriculum, design, technology) to help define project goals and scope.
  • Build detailed project plans and workflow tracking documents to prioritize initiatives of varying complexity.
  • Own the overall digital content production schedule and process: Accessing resources, scheduling kickoffs and leading check-in calls and meetings to ensure projects are on track through completion/release.
  • Author project deliverables into Amplify’s content and asset management systems.
  • Supervise a staff of contractors, assigning tasks as needed to complete project achievements.
  • Identify and raise issues and risks related to project schedule and team success, leading efforts toward resolutions.
  • Contribute to the continued development and maintenance—identifying and documenting bugs, new features, and functionalities—of products and platforms.

Basic Qualifications of the Content Producer:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 3 years in a digital media production or in a project management role
  • 2+ years of experience with Google Docs, Sheets, and other project planning and tracking applications
  • 2+ years of experience working in an agile development environment

 

Preferred Qualifications of the Content Producer:

  • Outstanding communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • A background in education or related field
  • Experience working on Spanish or foreign language translation projects
