Job Description:
Designed for unlimited discovery and unmatched safety, Epic is the leading digital library for kids. As a member of Epic!’s content operations team, you will be responsible for managing our collection of thousands of pieces of content and onboarding of exciting new assets with our partner-publishers. A typical day will include image and audio manipulation, assigning metadata to assets, copyediting, content curation, and quality control. An editor will have to apply keen judgment to develop and maintain quality, maturity standards, and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Review content (book, audio, video, and metadata) for quality and ensure it is appropriate for our users
- Make sure visual components meet standards; identify and handle corrections as needed
- Creating book covers in the provided template format
- Edit & prep book PDF files for ingestion
- Edit & prep audio files for ingestion
- Converting epub files to PDF
- Apply metadata to book and video content
- Provide quality assurance and promote exceptional quality standards for in-app content
- Manage digital assets including tracking, preparing, and uploading content using our content management tool.
