Shanesha Brooks (she/her) is a passionate educator and visual storyteller dedicated to leveraging diverse and inclusive media to empower individuals and make opportunities accessible. Holding a BA in Psychology and Family and Human Development from Arizona State University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California, Shanesha brings extensive experience in education and social work to her endeavors. Her professional background spans K-12 counseling, parent engagement, workforce development, college readiness, career exploration, and program development.Shanesha’s upbringing as a military child, immersed in various cultures and communities, has instilled in her a profound appreciation for diversity and representation. This personal connection fuels her commitment to creating content that authentically reflects and values underrepresented communities, fostering self-identity and empowerment. Furthermore, her involvement in community relations mobilizes resources and support for underserved populations, nurturing a sense of belonging.As Shanesha enters educational consulting in the Children’s Media world, she aims to merge her robust education and social work background with innovative strategies. With a proven track record of supporting student well-being through play therapy and art therapy, Shanesha prioritizes creative expression and emotional healing in her work.Beyond her professional pursuits, Shanesha is an artist, crafting works celebrating Black culture and heritage.
