Sarah Provost

Sarah is a creator, producer, and educator passionate about collaborating and bringing stories to life.

She’s worked on over 60 productions for stage, screen, and audio in a variety of roles from puppeteer and voice actor to writer and director. Her background in puppetry fuels her affection for visual storytelling and her work has been seen on stages across New York City with support from the New York State Council on the Arts and the Jim Henson Foundation. She’s toured nationally and internationally, including with Mabou Mines’ Obie award-winning production of Peter and Wendy. She co-founded and co-curated the Voice 4 Vision Puppet Festival, producing 20 main stage shows over five festivals.

As an educator she infuses curriculum with arts and puppetry strategies. Thousands of kids throughout New York City know her as the “puppet lady” after her years bringing literacy, science, and social studies to life through puppets.

In her free time, she enjoys digging in the dirt and strategizing how to keep carbon in the soil.
