Debbie Heimowitz Azicri is a passionate and mission-driven leader with 15+ years experience developing and launching new products including: edtech, start-ups, consumer products, digital streaming and educational videos. She has a lifelong passion for education and has developed her career in kids & family media and technology. Debbie has been instrumental in early stage ventures including the team that launched Amazon Studios Kids original series for Amazon Instant Video, as well as the 1st employee at Square Panda an early reading start-up company that is now a global literacy organization. She is the creator of the Adina’s Deck video series that helps teens understand how online behaviors impact real world actions. The series went on to gain international distribution and win awards. She was mentored by kids industry veteran Donna Mitroff, who she met while interning at Disney Channel through the Academy of Television Arts and Science. Debbie has a strong passion for mentorship after learning from the best, Donna! Debbie lives in the Bay Area with her family including two boys who will be entering 1st and 5th grade in fall of 2023. They inspire her every day! For fun, she also is the TikTok /social media creative director of @MyDadStan. She grew his page to over 300k followers and 13M+ hearts. Debbie holds a bachelor’s degree in Film from UC Berkeley, multiple-subjects teaching credential and Master’s in Learning, Design & Technology from Stanford University.
