The Opportunity: 

Mattel’s US Commercial Marketing team localizes the global brand strategy to perform in our largest market.  The team is responsible for line selection, creating pricing, overseeing the local P&L and driving the go-to-market strategy for the U.S. The Marketing Manager for the Games business will provide leadership around marketing, business operations and customer management activities for the brand and product line in order to achieve financial growth and profit targets.  Your knowledge of the consumer, our business and utilization of successful marketing levers will drive our legendary brands forward.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Manage day-to-day marketing activities, including insights collection and synthesis of performance or brand/products
  • Deliver item-level forecasting, tracking, and performance roll-ups in order to impact marketing strategy
  • Drive promotional plan and execution by brand and across customers
  • Develop your brands by activating key marketing programs in the US market
  • Drive marketing execution by leading a cross-functional team inclusive of Sales, Global Brand Marketing, Retail Marketing, etc.
  • Work with external licensor teams for licensed brands; provide quarterly forecasts, collaborate on US marketing programs
  • Manage annual budgets for media and non-media activities

  • FOUNDATIONAL knowledge of the business objectives related to marketing/brand management, a demonstrated understanding of standard marketing techniques and a basic understanding of annual financial plans

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience (6 with MBA) in consumer or brand marketing
  • Advanced understanding of standard marketing techniques
  • Demonstrated leadership, strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent written/verbal, time management and quantitative/analytical skills required
  • Ability to take conclusions from data and communicate and present those actionable insights to leadership and business executives.
